Detention Services Agency

The Detention Service was set up to :


     cater for the operation of all closed accommodation centres;

     provide secure but humane accommodation for detained persons;

     maintain a safe and secure environment.


Immigrants are kept in detention pursuant to the issuance of a detention order by the Principal Immigration Officer in accordance with applicable legislation.​​
